Henri Cartier-Bresson
Henri was born on August 22, 1908. Since he was a child Henri was very interested in the arts where he was influenced by his father and his uncle that was an accomplished painter. A little bit later in life he attended Cambridge University where he studied literature and painting in1928. In this time of place he was finally introduced to photography.
A year later he fell in love with photography and was passionate about it. In 1929 he started to take is seriously. He was later consumed in the art and discovered the hand-held Leica camera. It was then when Henri decided to make pursue photography as a career.
"I wanted to capture the quintessence of the phenomenon in a single image," he quoted. This quote alone shows his passion for this fine art where he seen his camera as a sketchbook.
This is proof that his photographs were spontaneous and difficult to replicate.
